Ruben Mata

Payroll Manager

Everyone loves the man with the money. At Pinnacle, that man is Ruben Mata, who is in his second decade in the staffing industry.  Outside of a brief stint at Sprint, Ruben has worked with co-owners Brad Tyler and Moses Muro since 2000, and has been a key member of the Pinnacle team since day one. Hired as the Olathe office’s first Branch Manager, his talents and the company’s growth quickly directed him into his current role of Payroll Manager, where he is responsible for paying more than 1,000 Pinnacle employees every week.

When he’s not crunching the numbers for Pinnacle employees across the country, he is a proud husband and father to three children and two cats. He enjoys play time with his youngest and relaxes by streaming a good movie.

Matt Reese

Safety Manager

Matt believes his business cards should read CFIO Officer – “Chief Figure it Out Officer.“ He has been working in the staffing industry since 2006 and has worked in nearly every facet of the industry. He now finds himself in charge of Pinnacle’s Safety Program.  He meets this challenge head on, like he has all the others he’s encountered over the past two decades.  

Matt thrives on the ups and downs and constant changes to the landscape that the staffing industry brings.  Throughout all these peaks and valleys, Matt has remained a constant at Pinnacle, being a part of this great team since day one.  His loyalty, dedication, work ethic, along with his passion, have been staples he brings every day to not only Pinnacle but his number one priority, his family.    

His wife and four children keep him very busy with countless games and practices, but he wouldn’t have it any other way. 

Devin Scala

Payroll Specialist

Devin is a detail-oriented individual that is focused on accuracy and consistency. Hailing from the Garden State (New Jersey), he moved to the Midwest to make a life for himself and has never looked back. After graduating from Kutztown University (PA) with a bachelor’s in business administration, he got his start in the banking industry as a teller and eventually moved to online banking. He then moved into the payroll space as a customer service representative for a payroll software company. He has been able to use his FinTech and banking knowledge to assist employers and employees alike with finding solutions to their wide range of issues. Devin takes great pride in making sure employees get paid fairly and on time for the great work they do, while leading employers through the maze of rules and regulations in each industry. In his free time, Devin enjoys skateboarding. He also frequently competes in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. He has been known to occasionally show up to the office with a black eye or a swollen lip!

Tony Johnson

Marketing Coordinator

Tony spent much of the first two decades of his career in the industrial sector, working on everything from websites, social media, print design, email marketing and event planning for a manufacturing company. Since joining Pinnacle late in 2022, Tony has taken over all marketing efforts and enjoys the variety of work he sees every day. After designing and building more than 200 websites in his career, he’s excited to bring his creative and strategic efforts to the staffing industry, and specifically to Pinnacle, where he sees people’s lives change for the better every day.
